“Upkaar” (1967) was produced by R N Goswami and directed by Manoj Kumar for Vishal Pictures. The movie had Manoj Kumar, Asha Parekh, Pran, Prem Chopra, Kamini Kaushal,Shammi, Sunder, Kanhaiyyalal, Madan Puri,David, Manmohan Krishna, Asit Sen, Mohan Choti, Mahesh, Aruna Irani, Manmohan, Krishan Dhawan, Tuntun, Birbal, Laxmi Chhaya, Ram Mohan, Gulshan Bawra, Miss.Carolene King etc in it.
The movie had eight songs in it (including a multiple version song). Seven songs fro this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the eighth and final song from the movie. This song in fact precedes another song Ye kaali raat kaali and there was a suggestion that these two songs are one and the same. Though these two songs follow each other, they are separate song as per myswar (and HFGK too, I presume).
Whileye kaali raat” is a background song sung by Rafi, the song “gulaabi gulaabi raat gulaabi” is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is a party song which is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised on Laxmi Chhaaya.
Indeewar is the lyricist. Music is composed by Kalyanji Aanndji.

how did i miss this song …when it was posted here as well as when i saw this movie umpteen number of times? both the songs—-this and Ye Kaaali Raat —-are typical Manoj Kumar
