“Aadmi aur Insaan” (1969) was directed by Yash Chopra for B R Chopra Films. The movie had Dharmendra, Mumtaz, Saira Bano, Feroz Khan, Ajit, Iftekhar, Johnny Walker, Randhawa, Madan Puri, Achla Sachdev etc in it.

This song is sung by Mahendra Kapoor and chorus. Lyrics of this song were written by Sahir Ludhianvi. Music is composed by Ravi.
Only the audio of this song is available. From the lyrics, it can be guessed that the song is about the green revolution, which was a cherished national dream. The country was dependent on imports for its foodgrains till mid 1960s. Thanks to the measures taken from mid 1960s (which included introduction of high yield seeds, usage of fertilisers and irrigation among other measures), the county became sulf sufficient in food grains from 1970s onwards and that was a matter of great national pride those days.
This fact found mention in many Hindi movies and its songs. “Upkaar” (1965) was one of the more notable movies and its song Mere desh ki dharti sona ugle continued to be the most well known song on this theme to this day.
It is clear that this song from “Aadmi Aur Insaan” (1969) is on the same theme of green revolution. I request our knowledgeable raeders to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Yes, i too remember, that this song happens at a construction work site. Thanks for providing the video link of the film too. I need to watch it again, since it has several years i had watched it earlier.
