“Kaajal” (1948) was directed by M Sadiq for Ratan pictures, Bombay. This social movie had Suraiyya, Wasti, Jayant, Gope, Cuckoo, Sharda, Ram Kamlani, Ammeer Banu, Nazeer Bedi, Nazeer Kashmiri, Sangeeta, Ameer Ali etc in it.
This movie had nine songs in it. Eight of these songs have already been discussed.
The ninth and final song from this movie was a rare song not available on YT. I had located and uploaded this song some time back. But seeing that this was a rare song, I was waiting for some opportune moment to discuss this song. Seeing that this song has the voice of Ram Kamlani, I was looking for the anniversaries of Ram Kalani, but they are seemingly not available. The female singer’s name is mentioned as S Hamida that creates a doubt in mind whether she is different from Hamida Bano (whose anniversary details are known to me).. Theere were two lyricists in this movie (D N Madhok and Shakeel Badayuni)but their work distribution in this movie is not known. Music was composed by Ghulam Mohammad and his anniversaries are nowhere close.
Under these circumstances, I thought I may just as well discuss this song instead of waiting interminably for a suitable occasion which may never come.
So here is this song from “Kaajal” (1948) which is sung by S Hamida (?), Ram Kamlani and chorus.
Only the audio of this song is available and so it is difficult to say how and on whom this song was picturised.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the identity of this singer described as S Hamida in the HFGK.
With this song, “Kaajal” (1948) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Lyrics
mil ke chalo o

door hai jaana
door hai jaana

baadal ki tarah jhoom ke ae ae ae
uthhi hai jawaani
ho o
baadal ki tarah jhoom ke ae ae ae
uthhi hai jawaani
ho o
chhedi hai nigaahon ne muhabbat ki kahaani
chhedi hai nigaahon ne muhabbat ki kahaani
is dukh bhari duniya mein nahin apna thhikaaka
is dukh bhari duniya mein nahin apna thhikaaka
mil ke chalo o
mil ke chalo
mil ke chalo o
mil ke chalo
door hai jaana
door hai jaana
door hai jaana
duniya ko bataana hai
ke hoti hai wafa kya
duniya ko bataana hai
ke hoti hai wafa kya
dil se na miley dil
to muhabbat ka maza kya
dil se na miley dil
to muhabbat ka maza kya
apnon se bichhadne ka nahin hai ye zamaana
apnon se bichhadne ka nahin hai ye zamaana
mil ke chalo o
mil ke chalo
mil ke chalo o
mil ke chalo
door hai jaana
door hai jaana
door hai jaana
badli nazar aati hai zamaane ki nigaahen
aen aen aen
badli nazar aati hai zamaane ki nigaahen
aen aen aen
khaamosh na ho jaaye ye hansti huyi raahen
khaamosh na ho jaaye ye hansti huyi raahen
goonje yehi reh reh ke fizaaon mein taraana
goonje yehi reh reh ke fizaaon mein taraana
mil ke chalo o
mil ke chalo
mil ke chalo o
mil ke chalo
door hai jaana
door hai jaana
door hai jaana
