“Chandidas”(1934) was directed by Nitin Bose for New Theatres, Calcutta. The movie had K L Saigal, Uma Shashi, M Nawab, M Anwari, I H Siddiqui, Pahadi Sanyal, Parbati Devi, Anwari Bai etc in it.
Seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the eighth song from the movie. This rare song is sung by Pahadi Sanyal. Agha Hashr Kashmiri is the lyricist. Music is composed by R C Boral.
Only the audio of this song is available but it is clear that the song was picturised on Pahadi Sanyal himmself.
I have not been able to get the lyrics right to my satisfaction because the lyrics do not seem to make full sense. I request our readers with keener ears to point out the errors in the lyrics.

Dear Atul ji & Khyati ji,
I suggest the following for filling the blanks;
i) vastra naveen, “pahne…” alankar;
ii) aayee hai phool khila “hai…” (both times) and;
iii) muskati, soye huye “hirday” ko jagati.
Thanks & regards,
Avadh Lal
