Making new year resolutions is not a good idea if one cannot stick to them. Making several new year resolutions which are often made on the spur of the moment is an even worse idea. 🙂
Yesterday I discussed a song from “Kabhi Kabhi” (1976) that turned out to be the final song of the movie and thus the movie joined the list of YIPPEED movies in the blog. And immediately I climbed on a chane ka jhaad without prompting from anyone and decided that I should aim at ensuring that one movie joins this list everyday throughout the year !
It is better said than done because so far we have had only 571 such movies (in six years plus existence of this blog) at the rate of less than 100 songs per yera. To be honest, this idea of covering all songs of movies took a concrete shape only sometime during 2012. By the end of 2013, we had about 300 movies that had all their songs covered in the blog. By the end of 2014, this figure stood at 570. So a whopping 270 movies joined the list in one year. So who knows, may be this is one new year resolution that has a good chance of being followed for much of the year, even if I miss this target on a few days of the year.
In any case, I was confident that I was going to stick to this target till at least the second day of the year. 🙂 It was because I had discussed the penultimate song of “Shirin Farhaad”(1956) on the first day of the year and so only one song from the movie was left to be discussed.
So here is the tenth and final song from “Shirin Farhaad” (1956). This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and chorus. Tanvir Naqvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by S Mohinder.
As is often the case with me, I am unable to identify the dancer and others visible in the picturisation. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
With this song, “Shirin Farhaad”(1956) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.
