“Dil aur Mohabbat”(1968) was directed by Anand Dutta for Shilpkar, Bombay. the movie had Ashok Kumar, Joy Mukherji, Sharmila Tagore, Johny Walker, Nazir Hussain, K N Singh, Asha Nadkarni, Anoop Kumar, Jagirdar, Poornima, Randhir, Moppet Sachin, Tuntun, Jankidas, Jagdish, Shiela, Bela Bose, Ravikant, Ravindra, Dhanna, Khosla, Taran Taran, Vijay Dewan etc in it.
Five songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the sixth song from the movie. This song is so brief that one may blink and miss it. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised as a cabarat dance song on Bela Bose. Her costume as as negligible as the words in the lyrics. But her neligible dress still hides enough cards in them to enable Joy Mukherji’s opponent to pull out winning cards from various portions of her dress.
The lyrics of the song has so few words that noting down the lyrics of this song is no challenge whatsoever. And therefore Khyati Bhatt who pointed out this song to me and mentioned that it was the last song from the movie, did not bother to send the lyrics of this song. 🙂
And looking at the lyrics of the song, it appears that any school kids could have written this song. The lyricist of this “song” is not identified so who knows, I may well be right and some school kid may have penned this song. 🙂
With this song, “Dil aur Mohabbat”(1968) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.
