“Sehra”(1963) was produced and directed by V Shantaram. It had Prashant, Sandhya, Mumtaz, Ullhas, Manmohan Krishna, Baburao Pendharkar, K. Date, M. Rajan, Lalita Pawar, Babloo etc in it.
The movie had eight songs in it. Seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the blog. The seventh song of the movie was discussed about two years back. I was not aware at that time that only one song was left. Moreover, our project YIPPEE had not taken shape at that time. 🙂
Here is the eighth and final song from the movie. This song is the T20 version of a movie song in the sense that it is too brief and gets over before one even warms up. This must have been one of the easiest assignments for Hasrat Jaipuri as a lyricist.
Hemant Kumar is the singer. Music is composed by Ramlal.
Lyrics of the song were sent to me by Khyati Bhatt and this was the second easiest case of noting down the lyrics of a song for her, the easiest being the song My name is Kishori (Dil Aur Mohabbat)(1968) 🙂
With this cakewalk of a song, “Sehra”(1963) now joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Atulji,
If you don’t mind please correct the first line of the text as directed by V. Shantaram. Also later instead of Hemantkumar is the lyricist it should be Hemantkumar is the singer.
When everything else is nice this type of mistake strikes.
Please remove this remark after correction.
