The first line reminded me of Kanan Bala’s song with the same starting line from 1943 film ‘Hospital’. Kanan’s song was very popular in those days and I used to sing (hopefully good) it in my town. As youngsters we used to enjoy distorting the lyrics to get some funny kick out of it. So much so, that I did not realized that on the stage of School function, I was singing it as ‘Laakho raaj hamaari.’ Clapping from the audience encouraged me to repeatedly sing the distorted line. I only realized it later, when my class teacher thrashed me. It was the talk of the town too for few days.

Right. There are many such cases.
I used to sing hum khushi sena mar jaaye(I used to wonder what has sena(army) to do with it.
Actually it was hum khushi se na mar jaaye (Woh Kaun Thhi)
