“Prem Nagar”(1940) was produced and directed by M Bhavnani. The movie had Bimla Kumari, Ramanand, Husn Bano, Rai Mohan, Fatty Prasad, Nagendra, Girish, Salu, Sheil Prabha, Gulzar etc in it.
Ten songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eleventh song from “Prem Nagar”(1940). This rare song is sung by Ramanand and chorus. . D N Madhok is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad, who made his debut as a music director with this movie.
Only the audio of this song is available. It appears that the song was picturised on Ramanand himself along with others.
This movie had thirteen songs in it according to HFGK. This eleventh song, which was not available on YT till now, appears to be the final available song from this movie. Song number 3 in HFGK, viz “Ramji chalyya Siatji sang ban mein” and song number 6, viz “Tum bhaango mhaare dilraakhi bhraata” does not seem to be available. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us about the availability of the remaining two songs from this movie.
