‘Bhakt Prahlad’ was directed by K P Bhave for Saraswati Cinetone, Poona (now Pune), directed by KP Bhave. The story was adapted from the traditional scriptures, by MG Rangnekar, and the screenplay was written by KP Bhave. The movie had Mohan Karve (child artist) playing the title role. The movie also had Krishnakant Saalvi, Ratnaprabha, Shakuntala, Ved Pathak, Rama Pathak, Varne, Javdekar, Bhosle, Vasant Pehalwan etc in it.
There were 14 songs in the movie. Only two of these songs seem to be available as of now. One song from this movie has been discussed in the past. Here is the second song from the movie. This song is sung by Ratnaprabha. Lyricist is not known. Music is composed by Annasaheb Mainkar.
From the starcast, one can guess that this song was picturised on Ratnaprabha herself.
I have not been able to note down the lyrics of this song to my satisfaction and there many be several inaccuracies in it. I request our readers with keener ears to point out corrections in the lyrics wherever applicable.
