“Taara” (1949) was directed by RD Parineeja for the ambitiously named New Bombay Theatres production. The movie had Shyama, Jawahar Kaul, Kuldip, Majnu, Nayantara, Chand Burque etc in it.
Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Today (25 december 2015) is the death anniversary of music director Vinod (28 may 1922- 25 december 1959). On this occasion, here is the sixth song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Geeta Gandhari according to HFGK. According to a comment in YT, the singers are Gandhari and Geeta Dutt. Aziz Kashmiri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Vinod.
Personally I am able to detect only one voice in the song and that is not Geeta Dutt’s voice. So the voice (that sounds similar to Meena Kapoor) could be Gandhari’s voice.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

HFGK is correct in singer’s name, but there is a mistake. The name should be Geeta, Gandhari. The comma is missing.
Gandhari’s name was not Geeta Gandhari. Her name was Gandhari Rane.
