“Roti”(1942) was directed by Mehboob Khan. The movie had Chandra Mohan, Begam Akhtar, Sitara Devi, Sheikh Mukhtaar, Ashraf Khan, Kayam Ali, Agha etc in it.
This critically acclaimed and commercially successful movie had some nice songs in it. AS many as six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from the movie. This song is sung by Sitaara devi and it is picturised on her as well who is seen performing this dance inside a palatial mansion, watched by occupants of the mansion who look scandalised at this dance performance.
Safdar Aah Sitapuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Anil Biswas.
