“Police Waali”(1949) was a stunt movie which was directed by A M Khan for Mohan Pictures. The movie had Husn Ara, Anil Kumar, Rafiq, Ansari, Master Bacha, Mumtaz, Raja Saleem, Subhadra, Usha, Abdulla Khan, Jethalal, Babulal, Robert, Gawli, Sattar, Chhotejaan, Sandow etc. in it.
The movie had nine songs in it according to HFGK. HFGK mentions that the movie had two lyricists namely Sham Hindi and Roopbani, but the distribution of songs among the two is not known. Moreover singers of the nine songs too are not mentioned. Needless to say that the details of this movie are difficult to come by.
Even the songs of this movie are difficult to come by. Here is a rare song from “Police Waali”(1949). Listening to the song, it becomes clear that the song is sung by Meena Kapoor. Lyricist of the song is not known, of course. A R Qureshi was the music director for this movie and therefore for this song as well.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
