“Basre Ki Hoor”(1956) was produced by Wasti and directed by Majnu for Standard Films, Bombay. The B grade movie, which was described by a costume movie in HFGK had Chitra, Daljit, Chandrashekhar, Kamal, Wasti, Romi, Sheikh, Shakuntala, Radhika, Ramesh Thakur, Sheila Vaz etc in it.
The movie had seven songs in it.
Here is the first song from “Basre Ki Hoor”(1956) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt, with an unknown male voice also uttering a phrase Achcha ji once in each of the stanzas.
Shewan Rizvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
