“Pyaar Ki Baaten”(1951) was produced and directed by Akhtar Hussain for Nargis Art Corcern, Bombay. The movie had Trilok Kapoor, Nargis, Aman, Neelam, Neeru, Rashid Khan, Master Nisaar, H Prakash, Raza Saleem, Maruti, Nazeer, s K Prem, Romani, Pran, Johny Walker, Krishna Kumari, Cuckoo, Maya Kumari, Khursheed, Rafiq Arabi, Radheshyam etc in it.
There were eleven songs in the movie. As many as six of these songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the seventh song from “Pyaar Ki Baaten”(1951) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Siddiqui, Geeta Dutt and chorus. M L Khanna is the lyricist. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani who was one of the music directors (other one being Khayyaam).
Siddiqui is a new name for us and he makes his debut as a singer in the blog with this song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the identity of this obscure singer.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics of this song. I request our readers with keener ears to tell us what worrds they could be.

I liked the voice and style of first time heard singer Siddiqui, especially in the beginning ‘saakhi’, where he sings with feeling and confidence of a seasoned singer.
