“Bairam Khan”(1946) was directed by Gajanan Jaageerdaar for Standard Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Mehtab, Jaageerdaar, Ghulam Mohammad (actor), David, Lalita Pawar, Benjamin, Hansa, Zebunnissa, Sunalini Devi, Chhotu, Shahnawaz, Latika, Akbar, Sadiq Ali, Dalpat, Zilani, Ramesh, Raman lal, Sham Lal etc in it.
There were six songs in the movie. Four songs have been discussed in the past.
I had got stuck up after four songs because the next two songs were not available on YT. Not any longer, Mr Sadanand Kamath has been on a mission to upload lots of rare songs on YT and in the process he has uploaded the two missing songs of “Bairam Khan” (1946) on YT, which comes as a great help four our YIPPEE project.
Here is the fifth song from “Bairam Khan”(1946) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Shamshad Behgam. Hayat Amrohi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ghulam Haider.
Only the audio of this song is available. It is almost certain that the song was picturised on Mehtab, the leading lady of this movie.
I am unable to get the lyrics of the song one or two places (may be more). I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections in the lyrics wherever applicable.
