“Lav Kush”(1951) was produced by Babubhai Shukla and directed by Nanabhai Bhatt for Shree Bhanu Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Nirupa Roy, Prem Adib, Umakant, Amirbai Karnataki, Badri Prasad, Dinesh, Mahesh etc in it.
This mythological movie had seven songs in it that have become rare songs by now.
Here is the first song from “Lv Kush”(1951) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt. Neelkanth Tiwari is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shanti Kumar.
Only the audio of this song is availablle. From the cast of the movie, it appears to me that this song was picturised on Nirupa Roy who must have played Sita with Prem Adib playing Ram.
