“Saagar”(1951) was produced and directed by P Jairaj for his P J Films production. The movie had Veera, Nargis, Jairaj, Durga Khote, K. N. Singh, Bharat Bhushan, David Abraham etc in it.
Today (11 february 2017) is the 28th death anniversary of Pandit Narendra Sharma (28 february 1913 – 11 February 1989).
As a tribute to Pt Narendra Sharma, here is a song from “Saagar”(1951).
The movie had ten songs in it. Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the blog in the past.
This song, the third from the movie to appear in the blog, is sung by Geeta Dutt. Pt Narendra Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by S K Pal.
Only the audio of this song is available. Going by the cast, it appears that this song was picturised on Nargis. Nevertheless, I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
