“Sheesha” (1952) is an obscure movie which was produced by Umar Ansari and it was directed by Shahid Latif for Asian Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Sajjan, Nargis, Vimla, Kumkum, Amar, Achla Sachdev, Zebunnissa, Anwari Bai, Rakhan, Laman, Habeeb, Rashid, Cuckoo, Majnu etc in it.
The movie had eight songs in it. Seven songs from this movie have been discussed so far. Here is the eighth and final song from this movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam. The song is written by Shakeel Badayuni. Music is composed by Ghulam Mohammad.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song. It appears that it is this song that inspired a “Paakeezaa”(1972) song, viz. Mausam hai aashiqaana two decades later.
