“Soorat Aur Seerat”(1962) was directed by Bahl for Shobhna Pictures, Bombay. This movie had Dharmendra, Nutan, Sulochana, Ifthekhar, Honey Irani, Asit Sen, Leela Misra, Narbada Shanker, Badri Prasad, K. N. Singh etc in it.
The movie had four songs in it. One song from the movie has been discussed in the past.

Only the audio of this song is available, so it is not possible to tell how and on whom this song is picturised. We can make guesses about the song from its lyrics which are interesting. In this song the lady is telling her balam that she would walk with him the way the “kalam” of judge in a court moves. I do not know what to make of the statement of the lady. Is she telling us (and her balam)that the courts give their decisions very promptly and so she is promising to be just as prompt in accompanying her “balam”. ? In case the courts those days took just as long in deciding cases as happens at present, then the lady in this song may well be refusing to accompanying her “balam” ? 🙂
