“Chaar Paise” (1955) was produced and directed by N K Ziri. The movie had Kishore Kumar, Shyama, Johnny Walker, Agha, Kammo, Nishi, Nazir Kashmiri etc etc. in it.
The interesting thing about this movie (as recounted by Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh, our beloved inhouse encyclopaedia) is that this movie was never released in movie halls, yet the prints of this movie are available online !
The movie had six songs in it. Three of these songs have been covered in the blog in the past.
Here is the fourth song from “Chaar Paise” (1955) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Lata. Sartaz Rahmani is the lyricist. Music is composed by B D Burman.
The song is picturised on Shyama.

I was sort of puzzled when I saw this post. There is another song with almost similar words: “Maajhi Meri Kismat Ko Jee Chaahe Jahan Le Chal” sung by again Lataji. Who is Mr B. D. Burman, the music director?

B.D. Burman stands for Meera Dev Burman (maiden name Meera Roy), spouse of the legendary MD Rahul Dev Burman. According to an article in The Times of India (17 Oct 2007) she died on 16 Oct 2007. She gave birth to Sachin Dev’s son and great MD Rahul Dev, also known as ‘Pancham”. Meera and Sachin Dev allegedly fell in love when they met at the All India Music Conference in Allahabad in 1937. Initially, she became his student and got married afterwards.
S.D. Burman died in 1975. R. D. Burman died in 1994.

Other sources say B.D. Burman is Barendra Dev Burman, also referred to as Baru Da. This sounds more likely to me.

I am sorry for the confusion.

CORRECTION::
I KNOW, you meant to write Meera Devburman, spouse of the legendry MD SACHIN DEVBURMAN (and not MD Rahul Devburman,) in your first two lines of comment.
