“Kuchh Naya”(1948) was directed by Ninu Majumdar for Shanti pictures, Bombay. This “social” movie had Ramesh Arora, Sudha Rao, Ramesh Sinh, Purnima Chaudhary, R S Dubey, Tribhuwan Sinha, Sharad Rao, Master Prakash etc in it.
The movie had ten songs in it that have become as rare and unknown as the movie itself.
Here is the first song from “Kuchh Naya”(1948) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Meena Kapoor. Music is composed by Ninu Majumdar.
Lyricist of songs of this movie are not known. But the lyrics of this song can be considered to be penned by Meera Bai, seeing that this song is a Meera bhajan.
