“Khilaadi” (1950) was produced and directed by R C Talwar. The movie had Suraiyya, Ashok Kumar, Kumar, Sundar, Indu, Anoop Kumar, Narmada Shankar, Cuckkoo etc in it.
There were eleven songs in the movie.
As many as nine songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
While discussing the ninth song, I had mentioned that the remaining two songs of the movie viz. “ye teekhe teekhe nainon waale…inko raam sambhaale” (singer not mentioned in HFGK) and “ye kaali kaali zulfon waale” (singer mentioned as Sundar) were not available.
Now, I have managed to locate the audio of the song sung by Sundar.
Guess what ! This song was available on YT since 2013 and it was uploaded by none other than our own Gajendra Khanna ! Tell us about the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. 🙂
Here is this tenth and penultimate song from “Khilaadi” (1950). This song is sung by Sundar and so it follows that this song was picturised on Sundar himself.
D N Madhok is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hansraj Bahl.
Now only one song viz. “ye teekhe teekhe nainon waale…inko raam sambhaale” (singer not mentioned in HFGK) is left to be covered. HFGK does not mention the record number or any other detail of this song. So it could well be a song whose records were not made. If that is h case then tthis song may well have become etinct unless the video of this movie is available and contains this song. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us about this missing songs (penned by D N Madhok) as and when it becomes available. as for now, here is the tenth song from the movie.
