“Patthar Aur Paayal”(1974) was directed by Harmesh Malhotra for K P S Films, Bombay. The “social” movie had Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Vinod Khanna, ajit, Jayshree T, Rajendranath, Ifthhikar, Sapru, Ram mohan, Shetty, Rajan Haksar, Joginder, Jankidas, S K Prem, V Gopal, Yash, Rajkumar, Rani, Rajrani, Kirti, Bachan Singh, Sheroo etc in it.
This movie had four songs in it. Indeewar had penned two of them, whereas Verma Malik and Gulshan Baawra had penned one song each.
Here is the first song from “Patthar Aur Paayal”(1974) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Gulshan Bawra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.
The song is picturised as a cabarat dance song on Jayshree T. Villains are always milling around at places organising cabarat dance in Hindi movies and this song is no exception. 🙂 Such esteemed personalities as Shetty, Sapru etc are seen gracing the occasion with their presence, so this song is a villains’ den song as well. 🙂
With this song, “Patthar Aur Paayal”(1974) makes its debut in the blog.
