“Adalat” (1948) was directed by Vasant Joglekar for Mangal Pictures Production, Bombay. The movie had Baburao Pendharkar, Shalini Devi, Jog Madgulkar, Sudha Apte, Saroj Borkar etc in it.
The movie had nine songs in it. One song has been covered in the past.
Here is the second song from “Adalat” (1948) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Mohantarar Talpade and Rafi. Mahipal (later known as an actor) is the lyricist. Music is composed by Datta Davjekar.
Only the audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeabl readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of the song.

There shud b a ” , ” ( comma ) between the names Jog Madgulkar as they were 2 different persons.
Jog nd Madgulkar were 2 gr8 personalities of Marathi Cinema.
Vishnupant Jog was a versatile actor , who did roles as comedian as well as character artist.” Brahmachari ” ” Brandichi Batli ” ” Deo Pavla ” nd many other movies had his excellent piece of acting.He acted in a few hindi films also.
G.D.Madgulkar was known as’Aadhunik Valmiki ” as he wrote the very popular ” Geet Ramayan “.He was the top Story- screenplay – Lyrics writer in Marathi Cinema.Besides these , he wrote the story of ” Toofan Aur Diya ” nd ” Do Ankhen Barah Haath ” ( for d latter , he wrote screenplay nd dialogues also )
There is much much more 2 tell about these 2 ” Mahaan Kalakaar”.
