There are some artists who are known for playing serious roles and then there are some others who are known for their light hearted roles. What happens when the twains meet ?
When the actor playing light hearted stuff is Kishore Kumar then one can be assured that he would have the effect of spreading cheers and laughter all around even if he is in the company of serious looking people.
In the past, we have seen Kishore Kumar acting opposite tragedy queens like Meena Kumari and Nutan, and the results were comedy movies.
Here is another such example. Here Kishore Kumar ties up with a somble lyricist (Gulzar) and a sombre music director (Hemant Kumar). And what is the result ? A rip roariring comic song.
Here is this song from “Raahgeer”(1969). This comedy sung is sung to the tune of “Om Jai Jagdeesh Hare”. But it is no bhajan. This song takes the micky out of “Vaidhya” viz village doctors. Just listen to this rip roaring song. Surprisingly, this song has ended up becoming an obscure song. It deserrves to find its place among Kishore Kumar’s memorable comedy songs.

there is no video to this song. i checked online. hope some private contributor can provide a see-able link. this is one of those songs that has the potential to uplift moods.
