We observe that three movies (out of five) whose songs were covered on this date ten years ago have since been YIPPEED in the blog. That leaves us with two unYIPPEED movies that are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (30 April 2023).
“Nishaan”(1949) is one of the two unYIPPEED movies for today’s BTYC.
“Nishaan”(1949) was produced and directed by S S Wasan for Gemini Pictures, Madras. The movie had Bhanumati (as Ranjana), Ranjan (as Vijay Singh and Vikram Singh), R.Nagendra Rao (as Zorawar Singh), J.S.Casshyap (as Doctor Shanker), Maya Banerji (as Neelam), Balkrishna Kalla (as Madho Singh), M.S.Sengar (as Chandan), Suryaprabha (as Al Beli), Narayan Rao as (Zorawar`s Valet ), Ramakrishana Rao (as Messenger), D.Bal Subramanyam (as Mahendra Singh), V.P.S.Mani (as Himmat), G.Pattu Iyer (as Raj Sekhar), Venkatamba (As Mahendra Singh`s wife), Krishna Bai (as Doctor`s sister), Shyam Sunder (as doctor`s brother in law), Vijay rao ,Anand, Sampat Kumar (as Zorawar`s Soldiers), I.M.Ram , Y.S.S.Rao (as Mahendra Singh`s Soldiers), M.K.Radha etc in it.
“Nishaan”(1949) had 8 songs in it. Five songs have been covered in the blog so far.
Here is the sixth song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Zohrabai Ambalewali and Moti. Pt Indra Chandra is the lyricist. Music is composed by B K Kalla. The song is picturised as a stage dance song which is watched by a houseful crowd as was the case in all stage dance performance picturisations of those days.
