Today’s song is from the 1950 movie “Baseraa”. It was directed by Inayat for ‘Watan Pictures, Bombay’. This was a movie from ‘social’ genre as mentioned in Geet Kosh Vol-II (1941-1950).
Geet Kosh mentions Ramola, Heeralal, Veena Kumari, Roopmala, Chanda and Bhudo Advani as the cast of this movie. Title for six songs is mentioned in Geet Kosh for the list of songs from this movie leaving an indication that there might be more songs in this movie that are not known.
