Today I am presenting a Sulochana Kadam duet, which is from the movie “Kyun Jee-1952”. This movie was produced and directed by Nari Ghadiyali for ‘Anmol Chitra, Bombay’. The cast of this movie has Agha, Prakash, Leela Kumari, Urvashi, Bibi, Habib, Ali, Manchi, Thhuthhi, Shaikh and others. As per information available in Geet Kosh Vol-III, this movie was passed by the Censor Board on 25.01.1952.
“Kyun Jee-1952” has eight songs written by two lyricists viz. Ratanlal Khanjar – two songs, Shaikh – two songs, then two songs are jointly credited to both the lyricist and for remaining two songs the lyricists’ name is not mentioned in Geet Kosh.
The singers’ names for this movie are S. Balbir, Chaudhary, Shaikh, Sulochana Kadam, Premlata, and Khan Mastana. One song is mentioned as a male duet, but the singers’ names are not given against it.
One song from this movie ‘tere jaadoo bhare nainon mein’, which is sung by Premlata, was posted on the blog seven years ago in 2017. Today I am presenting the second song from this movie which is sung by Sulochana Kadam and S. Balbir. This song is a joyful song among two lovers who are celebrating their love. I have not been able to note down correct words at couple of places. I would like to request readers with keener ears to please provide correct words at these places.
