“Chaar Chaand”(1953) was produced by F M Khan and directed by A Kareem for Fine Art Films, Bombay. The movie had Shyama, Suresh, Bhagwan, Shaikh, Majnu, Cuckoo etc in it.
“Chaar Chaand”(1953) had nine songs in it according to HFGK. 8 songs were composed by Naashaad and one by K Manohar.
As many as 12 playback singers were used in these songs. They were Shamshad Begum, Jawer Hussain, Promodini Desai, Balbir, Madhubala Jhaveri, Asha Bhonsle, Premlata, Mubarak Begum, Shivram, Talat Mehmood , Nargis and Satish Batra. This singer Nargis was the first wife of Naashaad. Premlata was the second wife of Naashaad.

With eight songs already covered in the blog, only one song of “Chaar Chaand”(1953) remains to be covered in the blog. Here is that song. When listening to the song and comparing it with the entries in HFGK, one notices that HFGK gets the mukhda of this song a bit mixed up. According to HFGK, it is “liya mera dil chura toone”. In reality, the words are “Jiya mera chulbulaa”. Moreover, it is a two part song and not a single part song as mentioned in HFGK. It is because of this incorrect listing that most people are unable to locate this song which in any case is a rare song.
This song is sung by Premlata. A Karim is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naashaad.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra (long ago) who also found out that this was a two part song whose mukhda was incorrectly mentioned in HFGK.
Only audio of this two part song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song. It sounds like a dance song to me.
With this song, all the songs of “Chaar Chaand”(1953) get covered in the blog. The movie thus gets YIPPEED in the blog.
