“Naag Lok”(1957) was produced by Uma Shankar and directed by Babubhai Mistri for Shri Shakti Productions, Bombay. This “pauraanik” movie had Nirupa Roy, Shahu Modak, Krishna Kumari, Tiwari, Dalpat, Kanta Kumari, Shree Bhagwan, Shravan Kumar, Neela Kumari, Savita, Kusum, Taj Parveen, Uma Dutt, Ajit Kumar, Amrit Kumar, Nautiyal jee, etc. in it. Indira was the guest artist.
This movie had ten songs in that were penned by five lyricists viz Bharat Vyas (4), Gopal singh Nepali (2), Saraswati Kumar Deepak (2), P L Santoshi (1) and Indeewar (1).Singers are known for six singers whereas names of singers are not mentioned for four songs.
Here is the firstr song from “Naag Lok”(1957) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Saraswati Kumar Deepak is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ramlal Heera Panna, who was the same person as Ramlal who later composed music in “Sehra” as Ramlal.
