This saawan song is from the 1965 Bhojpuri movie ‘Hamaar Sansaar’.
The movie ‘Hamaar Sansaar’ was directed by Naseem for Kamsaar Films. It was a ‘Social’ movie. The cast of this movie has Ashim Kumar, Lily Chakravarti, Nazeer Hussain, Leela Mishra, Ajay Kumar, Padma Kumari (Padma Khanna?), Indrani Mukherjee, Helen, Sadhna Chaudhary, Sadhna Khote, Mangala Prasad, Kundan, Raj, Irshaad, Rajesh Verma, V.K. Tamar, Paresh Kumar, Shakuntala, Radheshyam, M. Bihari, Madhumati, Lakshamichhaya and others.
‘Hamaar Sansaar-1965’ has seven songs composed to music by Shyam Sharma. Out of these seven songs four songs were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and three songs were written by Shyam Sharma. The singers for this movie included Suman Kalyanpur, Talat Mahmood, Kamal Barot, Mohd Rafi and Krishna Kalle.
This song is sung by Suman Kalyanpur and Kamal Barot and picturisation of this song have many female artistes performing on the song. In the song the women are missing their husbands who are away from home for their work (job) and the women are missing them in this pleasant weather of the month of ‘saawan’.
Many people migrate to far off places in other states away from their home leaving their family behind. Their near and dear ones miss them especially during the festive seasons. This song captures the feelings of the women who are missing their husbands in the month of saawan. The lyricist has described their feelings in a manner that one can easily identify with.
I am unable to identify the artistes lip-syncing the song even though some faces looks familiar to me. I would request knowledgeable readers to identify them please. Also I have not been able to note correct words at many places where I request readers to add correct words.
Shyam Sharma is the lyricist as well as the composer of this song.
