Today’s song is from the movie ‘Amar Singh Rathaur-1957’. This historical genre movie was directed by Jaswant Zaveri for Dinesh Films, Bombay. This movie was passed by the Censor Board on 09.04.1957. Geet kosh mentions that some part of this movie was in colour. The producer of this movie was Gaurishankar Goel. The cast of this movie has Nirupa Roy, Jairaj, Ram Singh, Al Naseer, Ramesh Sinha, Sunder, Murad, Rajkumar, Shree Bhagwan, Ramlal, Sapru, Shyam Lal, Pandey, R.S. Nirupa Roy is singing this joyous song on the arrival of the pardesi (Amar Singh Rathaur) oblivious to the fact that Amar Singh Rathaur is also watching her. Her song ends abruptly as she notices him. He expresses his love for her in the usual medieval era Hindi movie character and Nirupa Roy coyly responds in the usual Bhaartiya Naari manner.
