Films with the title “Hum Ek Hai” were released in different years.
Suffice to say Hum Ek Hain, lekin same title anek hai.
Well, this post of mine had tried to sort out the confusion arising out of this same title released in different years and with different cast and composers. I had elaborated on the standalone patriotic song produced by Govt of India’s Films Division which also had the same title.
Further, I had also included the unreleased film of same title with some songs composed by Khaiyyam and Mukesh having two songs in it.
One such unique song from this unreleased film was taken up by self in the post; hyperlink of which is provided above.
I say unique because it was the only duet which Mukesh sang with Jagit Kaur, the spouse of Khaiyyam saab.
Recently, when I took up another NFS composed by Khaiyyam, I again got confused with this title of “Hum Ek Hain”, while updating the table.
So, to make things clear as far as Mukesh’s songs in “Hum Ek Hain” titles, here is the concise table.

What also led to my confusion is that only 1 out of the 3 songs listed above has been posted so far. This in spite of Mukesh’s Khaiyyam and Usha Khanna songs being covered extensively.
Well, the picture (film title😊) is now clear to me and let’s continue the process of covering remaining Mukesh’s songs on the blog.
A very interesting trivia of the songs enlisted above.
First is a patriotic song and is being covered in this post.
Second is a bhajan already covered.
Third is an “nature/environment theme” song.
Mukesh is generally not known for such genre of songs. But he has sung all kinds of songs with the same zeal, gusto, passion and sincerity. He always put up his best irrespective of composer, lyricist, actor on screen, NFS, etc.
No wonder each song of his remains a pearl for music lovers to adore.
I take up Usha Khanna’s song in this post and the third song will be covered in the next post.
