Today’s song is from the movie ‘Nanand Bhojai-1949’. This social movie was directed by Ratibhai Punatar for Ajit Pictures, Bombay. The cast of this movie included Nirupa Roy, Manhar Desai, Dulari, Babu Raje, Chhagan Romeo, Charubala, Najeerabai, Ibrahim, Suryakant, Latabai, Kamlesh Thakar, Kusum Thakkar, Shobha Thakur, Janakrai Mehta and others.
‘Nanand Bhojai-1949’ has as many as twelve songs contributed by three lyricists. They are Pt Indra, Parshuram ‘Jiya’, and Saraswati Kumar ‘Deepak’. However as per information available in Geet Kosh Vol-II (1941-1950) lyricist’s names is known for only nine songs. Music for this movie is composed by Bulo C Rani. One song from this movie has been posted on the blog earlier on 29.06.2017. This song is ‘ek gagan panthh kaa pankheru’, sung by Geeta Dutt.
Today I am presenting the second song from this move which is in the voice of A.R. Ojha. Lyricist’s name for this song is not known. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani. This song seems to be a situational comedy song where the male, most likely the father, is trying to pacify his crying son in the absence of his wife who has joined the freedom fighters (charkha chalaane waale) abandoning her husband and child.
