#The Decade of Fifties – 1951 – 1960 #
————————————————————————
This song is from a 1956 movie ‘Aastik’. I had listened to this song in the past and then forgot about it. Recently I came across an audio link of this song mentioning it as from the movie ‘Shyaam Ki Jogan’. It is then that when I looked for other links of this song. That is when I realised that this song is from the movie ‘Aastik-1956’ and not from the other movie.
This movie ‘Aastik-1956’ was directed by S.P. Kalla for ‘Rani Productions, Bombay’. It was produced by Gordhan Das Kakkad and it was passed by Censor Board on 15.05.1956. The cast of this movie has Shahu Modak, Paro, Meenakshi, B.M. Vyas, Nagpal, Anand Joshi, Praveen Pal, Lotan, Ramesh, Micky, Dinanath, M.S. Phatak, Nazi, Shanti, Mithaailal, Master Dabboo, Master Babu and others.
Five songs from this movie have already been posted on the blog. Geet Kosh mentions this movie ‘Aastik-1956’ as a Devotional Movie.
I have not watched this movie and the earlier songs of this movie already posted on the blog do not carry information about this movie’s story etc in the posts or in the comments. I would request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie please.
Today I am presenting the sixth song from this movie. Mohd Rafi is the singer. Lyrics are by S.P. Kalla (who directed this movie). Music is composed by Narayan. Picturisation shows Shahu Modak incarcrated in the ‘bandee gruh’ with ‘siphaahees’ keeping strict vigil. Paro, is listening to this song, but she is not paying heed to the warning being conveyed in the lyrics of the song. Lord Shiva takes prompt action on this SOS call from his bhakt and he despatches his messenger Sarp devtaa to rescue his devotee. I could not identify the artistes playing Lord Shiva and Meera in this song.

Song-Bhagwan tera insaan dekh le hai kitna naadaan (Aastik)(1956) Singer – Mohd Rafi, Lyrics – S.P. Kalla, Music-Narayan Dutt
Lyrics
Bhagwaan teraa insaan dekh le
hai kitnaa naadaan
dekh le
hai kitnaa naadaan
arey isey to jhhoothh saanch kee
zaraa naheen pehchaan
dekh le
hai kitnaa naadaan
dekh le ae
hai kitnaa naadaan
moorakh mat jhoothhaa bharmaanaa
warnaa phir hogaa pachhtaanaa aa
kan kan mein wo basaa huaa hai ae
kan kan mein wo basaa huaa hai
paaye naa pehchaan re
Bhagwaan teraa insaan dekh le
hai kitnaa naadaan
dekh le ae hai kitnaa naadaan
Meeraa ne jab Hari gun gaaye ae
zaher piye amrit ho jaaye ae
kaal bhee haar banaa phoolon kaa
kaal bhee haar banaa phoolon kaa
Meeraa banee mahaan re
Bhagwaan teraa insaan dekh le
hai kitnaa naadaan
dekh le ae
hai kitnaa naadaan
tu patthar mein praan jagaa de ae
dhartee aur aakaash hilaa de
aankhen hotey andhen kyun hain
aankhen hotey andhen kyun hain
ye tere insaan re
Bhagwaan teraa insaan dekh le
hai kitnaa naadaan
dekh le ae
hai kitnaa naadaan
arey isey to jhhoothh saanch kee
zaraa naheen pehchaan
dekh le
hai kitnaa naadaan
dekh le ae
hai kitnaa naadaan
dekh le ae
hai kitnaa naadaan
dekh le ae
hai kitnaa naadaan
