‘Beqaraar-1983’ was directed by V.B. Rajendra Prasad for ‘Jagpati Art Pictures, Madras’. V.B. Rajendra Prasad was also the producer of this movie. He also wrote the screenplay of this movie. The cast of this movie has Ashok Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Mohnish Behl, Padmini Kolhapure, Supriya Pathak, Om Shivpuri, Satyen Kappu, Asrani, Mohan Choti, Tez Sapru, Chand Usmani, Poornima, Dulari, Seema, and Yasmeen Khan, Sangeeta Behl, Tulsi Devi, Kirti Singh, Aslam Farshauri, Manmood Khan, Master Manoj, Master Dambu and others.
This movie ‘Beqaraar-1983’ has six songs in it. All the songs are written by Anand Bakshi and music is composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.I consider this as one of their good music album. So far four songs from this movie have already been posted on this blog. Today I am presenting the fifth song (and overall my fourth song) from this movie here.
The story of this movie has all the ingredients of a family drama, a little bit of action, melodrama, and lastly sacrifices. In the story of this movie we have Shyam (Sanjay Dutt) and Pradeep (Mohnish Behl) as close friends. Shyam falls in love with Sundari (Padmini Kolhapure) and it so happens that Sundari gets pregnant before getting married to Shyam. Though Shyam declares his love for Sundari his family does not accept this as they have commitments to others who have helped them in their bad days. Thus, Shyam has to marry another girl Nisha (Supriya Pathak). Sundari tries to take her own life but is saved. Pradeep, who is friend to Shyam, marries Sundari to save her from social disgrace. How the story in this movie concludes is what is to be watched in the movie.
This song takes place in the movie when Shyam gets married to Nisha. While Nisha is overjoyed on getting married Shyam is not in good mood as he is not happy with this marriage. To lift-up Shyam’s somber mood Nisha tries to tease him with romantic talks but instead Shyam tries to play some music on the cassette player. So thinking that music and dance will make Shyam happy Nisha breaks into singing and dancing.
Asha Bhonsle is the singer of this song.Supriya Pathak (Nisha), Sanjay Dutt (Shyam) and actress Dulari are seen in the picturisation.
This 7th January was the 65th Birthday of actress Supriya Pathak (born on 07.01.1961). I missed the oppotunity to send this song on that occasion. Nevertheless we wish her a belated very Happy Birthday and a very happy, peaceful and healthy life ahead for her.
