Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 83
This is a duet song sung by Asha Bhosle and Mukesh. “Duniya Bhooki Paise Ki” is written by Raj Kavi Inderjeet Singh Tulsi and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. It is from the film “Sauda” (1974).
“Sauda” (1974) was produced by C S Oberoi and directed by Sudesh Issar for Oberoi Universal. The movie had Vinod Khanna, Yogita Bali, Ranjeet, Purnima, Janki Dass, C.S.Dubey, Uma Dutt, Mukri, Madan Puri etc in it.
The plot follows a “double-trouble” narrative where two protagonists from different walks of life team up to fight their respective enemies.
The story revolves around Sunil (Vinod Khanna), a young man living in poverty. Desperate for money, he enters into a dangerous “death deed” with a wealthy but villainous man (Madan Puri). In this dark deal, Sunil essentially signs away his life for a sum of two lakh rupees, agreeing to die so the rich man can profit from his death.
While navigating this life-threatening situation, Sunil crosses paths with Renu (Yogeeta Bali), a wealthy young woman on the run. Renu is being hunted by her own murderous cousin (Ranjeet), who wants to kill her to seize her vast inheritance.
The two realize they are both victims of greedy, powerful men. They decide to join forces: Sunil uses his courage and physical strength to protect Renu from her cousin, while they work together to outsmart the villainous businessman and void Sunil’s “death contract.”
This song is lip synced by both Yogita Bali and Vinod Khanna. It looks like a club song.
