I heard this song today after ages and when I checked the blog, it wasn’t posted as yet, although the rest of the four songs out of five, were posted. So with this post, all the songs are covered making the movie Yippeed.
Today’s song “Ek Jhonka Pawan Ka Aaya” is sung by Lata Mangeshkar, written by Anand Bakshi and composed by Kalyanji Anandji. It is from the movie “Tamanna” (1969).
“Tamanna”(1969) was directed by K P Atma for K S Pictures, Bombay. This “social” movie had Mala Sinha, Biswajeet, Shashikala, Agha, Nazima, Deven Verma, Nazeer Hussain, Sulochana, Sajjan, Achla Sachdev, Asit Sen etc in it.
The film tells the story of a young couple in love who must struggle against family opposition and greed. Their lives become complicated when property disputes and family conspiracies threaten their happiness and safety.
Story in detail:
The story revolves around Suraj, the son of a wealthy businessman named Seth Dhanpatraj. Suraj is studying in college where he falls in love with his classmate Saroj, a sincere and kind-hearted young woman who comes from a poor background. The two genuinely care for each other and eventually decide that they want to marry.
However, Suraj’s father strongly disapproves of the relationship. Seth Dhanpatraj is very status-conscious and wants his son to marry a rich girl so that the family’s wealth and prestige can increase. Because Saroj is poor, he refuses to accept her as his daughter-in-law and tries to force Suraj to break off the relationship.
Suraj refuses to betray Saroj. Determined to marry the woman he loves, he leaves his father’s home and chooses to build his own life independently. Over time, Suraj becomes a police inspector, while Saroj pursues her education and becomes a doctor. The couple eventually succeeds in marrying and starting a life together based on hard work rather than inherited wealth.
But their problems are far from over. Within Suraj’s family, his step-sister harbors selfish ambitions. She wants to control the entire family property and sees Suraj as an obstacle to her plans. She begins plotting schemes to eliminate Suraj’s claim and gain complete control of the inheritance.
Through manipulation and deception, she attempts to create misunderstandings and legal complications that would deprive Suraj of his rightful share. These conspiracies threaten not only Suraj’s property rights but also his marriage and reputation.
As the story unfolds, Suraj gradually uncovers the truth behind the step-sister’s schemes. Using his intelligence and courage as a police officer, he confronts the conspiracy and exposes the greed and betrayal within the family.
In the end, justice prevails. The villainous plans fail, the truth is revealed, and Suraj succeeds in protecting both his family’s property and his relationship with Saroj. The film concludes with the couple reunited and their struggles vindicated, emphasizing that love, honesty, and integrity ultimately triumph over greed and prejudice.
I am unable to locate the video clip of this song, but here’s the audio one.
