“Beqasoor”(1969) was produced by Vijaykumar and directed by Kamran for Aaliya Films, Bombay. The movie had Dara Singh, Sanjana, Sham Kumar, Maruti, Ulhas, Ratnamala, Habib, V Gopal, Sadhana Khote, Dilip Dutt, Madhumati, Meenakshi etc. It was ‘B’ Grade action-thriller film. Dattaram composed the songs of the film during his waning career as a music director.
“Beqasoor”(1969) had four songs in it. The songs of this movie were not available online till 2019. Sudhir jee during his Herculean mission to bring unrepresented movies of 1960s on the blog, came across a song from this movie. He loved the song so much that he presented it on the blog with a gushing write up.
Six years later, the second song of the movie was presented in the blog by Sadanand Kamath jee. Though this movie is not available, he gave the story of the movie in the writeup.
With two songs covered in the blog, only two more songs remain to be covered. When I searched for the remainng songs, I came across a duet song of Mohammad Rafi and Asha Bhonsle. What a lilting song that was. I thought I should reserve that song for some special occasion. The other song, the more elusive song of the movie, was a solo song sung by Asha Bhonsle. when I heard that song, that song too turned out to be a wonderful song to listen to. Prior to these two songs, I had come across another wonderful Kishore Kumar-Asha Bhonsle duet and I had held that song back as well. But if I kept holding songs back like that then I may not have songs at hand to discuss immediately. So I decided that the solo Asha Bhonsle song of “Beqasoor”(1969) should be discussed today itself.
So here is this song from “Beqasoor”(1969). It is penned by Farooque Kaiser. Music is composed by Dattaram.
Only audio of the song is available. The earlier Asha Bhonsle song from the movie which was presented by Sudhir Jee too had only audio and that sounded like a Helen dance song. Helen is not there in the movie but her look aline Madhumati is, so that song may have been pictursed on Madhumati.
Who knows, the song under discussion could also have been picturised on Madhumati as well. From the lyrics, my guess is that this song is a party song or gert together song with someone seated at a grand piano.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.

Mohabbat se keh do aankhen bichaayen

ye nazren deewaanee
ye dil ka dhadakna

milee hai tumhee se
hamen ye nishaanee
aaa aa aa
aa aa aa
mohabbat se keh do aankhen bichaayen
mere dil ke maalik mere ghar mein aayen
mohabbat se keh do aankhen bichaayen
meree zindagee kee tamanna tumhee ho
meree zindagee kee tamanna tumhee ho
jo maine banaayee wo duniya tumhee ho
aa aa
aa aa aa aa aa
mohabbat se keh do aankhen bichaayen
mere dil ke maalik mere ghar mein aayen
mohabbat se keh do aankhen bichaayen
bichhadte hain raahee
ye manzil pe aa ke
bichhadte hain raahee
ye manzil pe aa ke
na tum chhod jaana
kinaare pe laa ke
