“Kisi Ki Nazar Ne Ishara Kiya Hai” is a soft, melodic beauty sung by Lata Mangeshkar, penned by Anand Bakshi and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The song is from a mystery/suspense genre movie “Sau Saal Baad” released in 1966.
The film is produced under the banner of Mansarover Pictures, Bombay and is directed by BK Dubey. The film is supposedly a tale of rebirth and memories of soul, presented as a ghost/apparition story. The cast of actors includes Feroze Khan, Kum Kum, Achla Sachdev, Manmohan Krishan, Rajendranath, DK Sapru, Ram Singh, P Kailash, Madhavi, Polson, Ravikant, Patanjali, On Mehra, Moolchand Kapoor and Rajan etc.
The movie “Sau Saal Baad” (1966) tells the story of a young engineer who encounters a mysterious mansion and a haunting female voice, leading him to uncover a past life connection and a vengeful spirit. The film explores themes of reincarnation, revenge, and the enduring power of love and loss across lifetimes.
Three songs out of six have been posted here. The one which was posted by your’s truly carries the story of the movie. Read the post here.
Lata Ji delivers the song with soft, breathy tonal control, subtle meend (glides) enhancing romantic भाव, emotional restraint. Her humming at the beginning sets a haunting, inward mood which suggests love as a private, internal experience. She sings as if the thoughts are unspoken confessions, not outward declarations.
“Kisi Ki Nazar Ne Ishara Kiya Hai” is not just a romantic song — it is a meditation on how love begins silently but transforms completely.
A single glance:
• becomes destiny
• becomes obsession
• becomes surrender
And the entire composition — lyrics, music, and voice — works together to keep that moment suspended in time.
I am unable to track the video clip of this song so here’s the audio version.

Lyrics:
hm mm mm
hmm mm mm mm mm
kisee kee nazar ne
kisee kee nazar ne
kisee kee nazar ne
ishaara kiya hai
kisee kee nazar ne
ishaara kiya hai
ke marna bhee hamne
ke marna bhee hamne
ke marna bhee hamne
gawaara kiya hai
kisee kee nazar ne
ishaara kiya hai
kisee roz guzre
agar woh idhar se ae
kisee roz guzre
agar woh idhar se ae
toh kadmon mein gir ke
toh kadmon mein gir ke
rahe bekhabar se ae
yeh kya haal tumnne
yeh kya haal tumne
yeh kya haal tumne
hamaara kiya hai ae
ke marna bhee humne
ke marna bhee humne
ke marna bhee humne
gawaara kiya hai
kisee ki nazar ne ae
ishaara kiya hai
yahaan woh naheen hai
wahaan woh naheen hai ae
yahaan woh naheen hai
wahaan woh naheen hai
magar phir bhee tauba
magar phir bhee tauba
kahaan woh naheen hai ae
jahan bhee hai dekha
jidhar bhee hai dekha
nazar ne usee ka
nazaara kiya hai
ke marna bhee humne
ke marna bhee humne
ke marna bhee humne
gawaara kiya hai
kisee kee nazar ne
ishaara kiya hai
