Seeing that I receive farmaishes (requests) from my readers , It would be a good idea to have a separate page for that. So here is this page. What a wonderful reminder.
Both names are correct. The film was originally named as Pyaas, and all preparations including the recording of songs was done under this name. Hence all the original records released for this movie carry the name Pyaas. But then before release, the name was changed to Apna Ghar Apni Kahaani. It was with this latter name that this films and its sonngs became known. Hence the confusion in information from different sources.

I have searched for this song from SAJJO RAANI(1975 OR 1976) with no postive results. I have heard this song from radio vividhbharthi 20 years ago. Now they also stopped I think airing this song

I know of one song, which is sung by Rafi for Prithvi Raj Kapoor, which was shot for a documentary by Films Division of India. The song is
“Khud jiyo auron ko bhi jeene do “. I gathered this information only, when searching for the lyrics of this poem which isnt available anywhere on the net. I even tried the FDI archives, which hasnt got this documentary.

hullo atul
here is this song i discovered on youtube. i searched for it after i heard it in a cd that i acquired recently. this movie was released in 1976, it had Subhash Ghai and reena roy as the lead. and this song has a whole lot of people in disguise. i cud recognise only Danny and Asrani from the set. i think we shd post it so that the other disguises can be revealed. otherwise this is just a song from an old movie which was not a classic or from the golden era. here is the link for the song

There is one Urdu wedding song, not in any movie that I know of, and dating back eo around 1965, sung by Mohammad Rafi, that I would very dearly love to have a opy of or see uploaded on thiswebsite. It goes lik this “Eh beti hamare; mere dil ke roshan sitaare. … Tu ghibbat na karna….Khuda ke liye, mujhe ma’af karna….” The lyrics are superb.
I would be eternally grateful to whomever can help me access this most-prized song. This is th bst song I have everheard, with Rafi’s “Mein ne chaand aur sitaron ki tamanna ki thi” from the movie Chandrakant being thesecond.

I regard this NFS of Manna Dey, the best soft romantic song he ever sang even in films. The song was composed in symphony style having some western influence but the tune was semi-classical.
Incidentally, the opening two lines of this song was the signature tune of Radio Ceylon’s programme ” Pasand Apni Apni Khayal Apna Apna” . In fact I came to know of this song through this programme and with great difficulty, I could lay my hand on 78 RPM record some time in early 70’s.
