Seeing that I receive farmaishes (requests) from my readers , It would be a good idea to have a separate page for that. So here is this page. Please use it to give your farmaishes for songs that you may like me to include in the blog. Just make sure to check that the song asked by you is not yet posted. You may refer to the pages that shows the complete lists of posted songs (by movie/ by music director/by year- as the case may be) for reference.

In early 70’s there was a movie titled ‘Pasand Apni Apni’ starring Sameer and Simi Garewal. It had a very good song ‘Mere Yaar, kaisi shaam suhani aayee re’ sung by Rafiji. Second version of same song was sung by (I think) Suman Kalyanpur ji. Music director was Vishnu Khanna and lyrics by Shivkumar Saroj.

There is one nice song from movie ‘Sharda’. It is sung by Mukesh, lyrics by Rajindar Kishan and music by C. Ramchandra. This song is picturised on Raj Kapoor and Mina Kumari. I could not find it posted on this blog. Lyrics are as under:

Our Hindi film industry is a great attraction for many people,who come here thinking earnestly that they have what it makes it BIG !
Very few sustain the rigours of struggle and make it,while 99.9%
go back from where they came, disillusioned.That is why there are “ONE FILM” wonders in the categories of Producers,Directors,Actors,singers and Music Directors in addition to many other categories like Technical etc.
Today I request you for one such song from a film,in which the Music Director,Lyricist,Story writer,Screenplay writer,Dialogue writer,the Production House and the Singer were all ONE TIME performers in Hindi films.None of them ever featured in any other Hindi film thereafter.

I do not know if I qualify for your description of a Knowledgeable etc etc,but I will try to furnish the reqd. info.
KAARWAAN-1956,was a film of Shahkaar Prodn.Bombay,produced by Dev Jolly and Directed by Rafiq Rizvi.The Music Director was S.Mohinder who was assisted by Inderjeet and Kishen.Lyricists were Tanveer Naqvi,Pt.Bhushan and Sarashar Sailani.
There were 9 songs in the film and the Singers were Asha,Balbir,Lata,Durrani.Talat and Geeta.
The cast was Shakila,Mahipal,Heeralal,Gope,Randhir,Satish,Pal,Sharma,Dhanraj,Sheila Vaz,Helen Cockoo and others.

I am not involved in it.Like you,sometimes I also give my Farmayashes to him.
I give additional info on songs for which farmayash is given by the readers,only to facilitate the selection of the correct song,as many times the readers do not have the full details of the song like begining words,year of the film,singer’s name etc.

This song is indeed sung by Talat Mehmood from film SALAAME-E-MOHABBAT, probably an unreleased film of 50s. The lyricist was Anjum Jaipuri and Bipin-Babul was the MD.

Salaam-e-Mohabbat was a 1955 film,which was earlier called Diler.
This film was half way abondoned,but 2 records were available in the market,having wonderful 4 songs of Talat,Shamshad,Sudha malhotra and Madhubala Jhaveri(Chawla) solos.It was produced(or half produced)by Kohinoor Films,Bombay.

I was debating between this song and the one I did send it to Atulji – Shiv Shankar Bholey……on Maha Shivratri. I also love the third one Bholey Naath Se nirala……also by Geeta Roy/Dutt and a male singer. Not aware of the lyricist of the third song (may be Saraswati Kumar Deepak).

The song ‘Bhole nath se nirala was sung by Geeta Roy and Badrinath Vyas and was written by Saraswati kumar Deepak.

oops sorry I didn`t wrote the lyrics of the song of the movie KAHIN PYAAR NA HO JAAYE(1963):”Humko tumse pyaar hai , tumpe dil nissaar hai, tum kya mil gaye, meri duniyaa badal gayee” It is happy go lucky song.
