I use the word “musical blockbuster” quite regularly for movies that have several nice songs. And there have been quite a few such movies over the deacades.

This song is from 1949, just after independence. The song is recorded under primitive technological conditions, still the quality of this recording is very good. The voice of Suraiyya can still enthrall the listeners.
