Today’s song is from an almost unknown film Daku Bhupat-1960.
This was a dubbed film, originally made in Telugu as ” Raja Nandini”-1958. The system of spelling the proper nouns in Southern languages is different from most western or North Indian languages. I believe it all depends on the type of alphabet a language has. Some alphabets which are present in Devanagari script languages (like Marathi or Hindi for example) are not present in southern languages. So sounds like T and TH are both spelled as th. Thus Lalita in Hindi becomes Lalitha in south.

“Daku Bhupat” (1960) was a Jalaruha Production movie. It was directed by Ramesh Gupta. The movie had N.T.Rama Rao, Anjali Devi, Ramesh Kumar, Ramesh, Nandu, Jani Majmudar etc in it.
