The festival of Raksha Bandhan is being celebrated today in many parts of the country. A tradition as old as our culture itself, it is a significant celebration of the brother-sister relationship in our country. By tying a piece of colored auspicious thread on the wrist of her brother, the sister is wishing for his well being, good health and prosperity, and in return the brother is making a promise to protect her and her honor.
