To change our mood and taste from Asha Ji’s rare songs, we move towards my most favourite amongst all the playback singers in all languages, the Legend worthy of being awarded the Bharat Ratna, Mohd. Rafi Saab.

‘Rootha Na Karo’ is a film from the banner of Nirmal Pictures, Bombay, directed by Sundar Dar. All the seven songs in this film are written by Hasrat Jaipuri. The star cast of the film is led by Shashi Kapoor and Nanda, along with Naaz, Rajendra Nath, Aruna Irani, Sulochana, Lakshmichaya, Jaishri Talpade, Saroj, Shobha, Tuntun, Mirza Musharraf, and Reeta amongst others.

“Roothha Na Karo” (1970) was a Nirmal Pictures Production. It was produced by Biswanath Prasad Shahabadi and written and directed by Sundr Dhar. The movie had Nanda, Shashi Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Kumari Naaz,Rajendranath, Sulochana Latkar,Tuntun, Laxmi Chhaya, Jayashree.T., Miraza Musharraf, Saroj,Rita, Hiralal etc in it.

Janaury 12th is the birth anniversary of the great maestro Ramchandra Narhari Chitalkar, well known in Hindi film industry as C Ramchandra and also Chitalkar as a playback singer. C Ramchandra (CR) was one of the prominent music directors belonging to the golden era of Hindi films songs. If one goes by the number of songs he had composed of joyous mood, I guess, he must have been a fun loving person.
