Laxmikant Pyarelal used to get C grade movies viz mythological movies, stunt movies, religious movies etc, when they began their career as music directors. we have seen many music directors who remained confined to such movies throuout their careers without graduating to the mainstream movies.
But Laxmikant Pyarelal were so good in their job that their music transcended all such barriers and became hugely popular with the mainstream audience.
We all are familiar with the music of “Parasmani” which was their debut movie. Here is a song from an even less ambitious movie called “Sati Savitri”. No one knows much about these movies, and even I was not aware about this movie or its music. But just listen to this song. Laxmikant Pyarelal have once again elevated the statute of this movie with their music.
The song is sung by Lata, and the lyricist is Bharat Vyas.
