Meri hasraton ki duniya

The movie was no great shakes. But one still needs to sit up and take notice as far as this movie is concerned. The lead characters ( Kiran Kumar and Radha Saluja, I think) do not deserve to lipsync such a divine song, but they do , and in the process try to pull the song down alongwith the movie.
But fortunately, this song is such an outstanding song that it shines through, no matter how badly it is picturised or no matter how badly this movie flopped at the box office. The music director was Shamji Ghanshamji who was one of those music directors of 1960-70 who failed to make it big as music directors despite showing glimpses of brilliance in the few opportunities that they got. The female voice in this song is incidentally that of Krishna Kalle. The lyricist is Kumwant Jani.

What a great song ! One of the finest songs of 70s beautifully composed by Shamji-Ghanshyamji, meaningful lyrics by Kulwant Jani and soulfully sung by none other than the great Mohd Rafi and a different voice Krishna Kalle.
Grateful to the person who has put it on the web as this is a rare song.

It is as if the director was dumbstruck with the beauty of the song, didnt know what to do with it, so just let the characters lipsunc it as puppets.
Very touching composition and voice of rafi adds dimensions to the words.

I had never heard this one, and it is indeed very nice and the female voice is very good. Again, I had never been conscious of hearing her name before.
