I am often amazed at the high quality output of Rafi towards the 1950s and 1960s when he was at the peak of his career. The 1960s were especially remarkable. In this decade, he sang outstanding songs, not just for big stars, but also for lesser known actors.
In fact, I firmly believe that many of the big stars of those days were made big to a large extent by Rafi songs picturised on them.
I am quite convinced that Rajendra Kumar would not be even half as successful as he finally became if it was not for the songs sung by Rafi for his movies. There are just so many great songs that he sung for Rajendra Kumar.
Here is one ( of many such songs) from “Jhuk Gaya Aasmaan” (1968). Lyricist is Hasrat Jaipuri, music directors are Shankar Jaikishan. It is a “teasing” song, and one that was quite popular during those days.

No superlatives would be enough for this mesmerising song!!!
The singing of Rafi Saab all the songs of this movie are just next level!! They don’t belong to this level of ours. It is purely nectar for our ears!!!!
